What have you all been up to? As much as I missed the sun while being in Glasgow, I think a minute of having to be exposed to the Brunei's sun would suffice that one year of dreading for some real tropical heat. What was I thinking? Nevertheless, I'm happy to be back here. It has not been a week since I arrived home and already I just can't sit still. Keep on going out. Despite the fact that I am now having the flu, meaning tissues and ActiveFast have been my companion anywhere I go. Gerrreaat. And guess what, my sleeping habit has also changed. I have better sleeping hygiene and became a morning person as well. GASP. Boyfriend is quite surprised to see my changes, knowing me, I was a so-called vampire. Uh-huh. I roamed the world at night but now, this vampire's license is now on suspension. What is this phenomenon ladies and gents? Is it something to do with abrupt climatic change? jet lag? time zone confusion? I get tired so easily and would yawn during daylight, and couldn't wait to hit the sack at 8/9pm. Am I really getting old?

Last Saturday night 22/1/2011, after the Secret Santa thingy at Farah's house, we all went to Nando's at Quay Springfield to join in Zukri's farewell celebration. Nando's was packed! Like any other Saturday nights I guess. BruGlas people had also made a little birthday surprise for our dearest Nani~ :D Too bad I was trapped and crammed between people on my seat that I couldn't get out to take more proper videos of the night. Flying 'Love' Kite

I can't sleep.

I know I promised B on Skype earlier on that I would sleep by 1am but I'm sorry B...my mind is still lingering on some serious and yet ludicrous matters.

Anyway, a friend asked me today on how's my relationship with my B has been going along. Its understandable that long distance relationship is hard to keep. And to my fella friends out there, who are curious and asking about how we are doing..don't worry and assume anything bad guys :) We are still standing still and strong. Although there were quite a number of times when I felt confuse and drifted away, but the thing about my boyfriend is, he knows how to get me back on track. On the other hand, I always fall back in love with him. This is the reality of relationship for me. Being in one is like flying a kite high up in the sky. It feels so wonderful having something touching the blue sky with your hand holding the end of the thread. The kite is Love. The thread is Relationship. And there's my B and I, together working on keeping the kite up in the sky. God's Will..I hope we will be together forever..flying that kite..Amin.

My Winter Holidays II

HAH. I forgot to mention the starting date of my winter journey! Not that its a big deal but it just crossed my mind. Anyway, here goes...it all started on 18th December 2010. So! My previous post stopped in Milan (18th - 19th Dec'). Now we're moving on to Venice (19th - 21st Dec')

The ride to Venice by train took 2-4 hours. I don't quite remember how long exactly, but I do remember napping a lot.

This time, we stayed over at a 3-stars hotel instead of a cheap hostel. I was glad to be able to sleep warmly. I grabbed the only single bed at the far corner of the big room. The rest of the queen size beds were connected and could fit four people. Another bonus treatment for me and also for them I think. I tend to kick, move a lot and steal people's blanket on a share bed so that's why I prefer to sleep alone ;) hehe.

Venice was wayyyy colder than Milan (talk about escaping winter). However, Venice is such a beautiful place guys. Really, I don't mind going there again perhaps for honeymoon? Why not. I got my first experience riding the gondola, eating the most delicious pasta I ever tasted, and going in and out narrow channels and alleys...what an adventure.

During the first night in Venice, we went on a tour to see the night life of Venice by boat. The ticket cost around 6 euros each. What we didn't know about the trip was, its a ONE way trip! So we ended up stopping at the very end of the boat journey not knowing that we weren't able to return back where we got off at the first place. We had to buy another ticket of 6 euros and spent the next one hour on the boat - thank God I didn't get sea sick man..but how could I..I fell asleep for the rest of the journey back - again :p

The next day, we rode the gondola for 30 euros each person. It was worth the experience though, every penny of it. Although I did find the slow steady rowing was kinda boring and yeah, slow but that's Gondola for you Miss! The views were just amazing! Then the other thing I realised was that there were masks everywhere (souvenir shops, stalls). Like those theatrical masks you see people wear on Masks Party, but the masks there were pretty awesome. Having to walk non-stop for the whole day really drained out my energy. I ended up falling asleep instantly on my single bed WITH my baju jalan still on me. AND socks too! Eww...but seriously just imagine how tired and exhausted I was at that time up until the point whereI didn't even have a bit of energy left to change my clothes. Now that's something (well for me it is! blurgh :p). After that, I woke up around 2am then feeling uneasy and disgusted, I took a shower and brush my teeth etc. Then I packed my stuff and waited for the others to wake up. Around 5am, off we all went using a rented mini van to the airport...to ROME.

My Winter Holidays

These are just some pictures taken during my winter holidays last December.

Starting from Edinburgh Airport where our flight was delayed for 5 hours cause of some technical error with the plane. Most of the time I fell asleep with my forehead laid on the handle of my luggage bag. I don't know how you imagine it but having absolutely nothing to do for 5 hours, taking a nap (in whatever position doable) seemed like the best way to kill the time.

First destination of the Eurotrip was Milan! Due to the flight delayed, we arrived there nearly midnight and most of the restaurants were closed already. We had to take a taxi to get to the hostel cause the bus station to buy tickets was closed as well. The caretaker was a lady and even though she couldn't speak English, she was kind enough to give us some pointers about the place and to serve us tea before we went out that night shortly after arrival. So, after a few rounds walking nearby our hostel place, we returned back to our beds feeling hungry and cold. The heater wasn't on so we all had to take in double and even triple layers of blanket to keep ourselves warm. I fell asleep almost instantly.

The next morning, we all woke up pretty early to walk to the central station where we would catch our train.

We had some free time before departure so we took the liberty to go sight-seeing around the area and most importantly, to find a good place to eat! I was craving for pasta and any sort of heavy meal cause having to sleep off hunger the night before. So unfortunate of us, the cafe we entered only serve breakfast meal at that hour and the food had quite a luxurious price. I will always remember the taste of the hot chocolate...so chocolaty...as if I was drinking a cup of hot chocolate straight from a chocolate fountain! So damn concentrated. I wanted to get rid off my thirst but ended up becoming more thirsty after that. Nevertheless, my experience in Milan taught me on the taste of Italian hot chocolate; so pure and filled with its rich flavour.

Next destination was Venice!

Rise From the Undead.

I hope its not too late to greet you fella bloggers a Happy New Year! May 2011 be filled with loves and achievements to all of us who think those two values matter in lives because they do to me, very much ;)

It has been like what? 2 months since I "abandoned" this blog. Life has been pretty interesting lately. The typical excuse not to blog would be 'being on hiatus'. That's a small part of it, but its pretty much on being a lazy bum-bum to type and blog for me.

It's already midnight here and actually I have a work to do for a workshop later on which I haven't even started yet. The new semester just began a week ago and yet, I'm not completely ready to force my brain to work like its supposed to. In front of my study desk is a big notice board and on a calendar pinned to it, there is this yellow post-it pad which I stick earlier during last semester . It says:

Sometimes in life, we simply just need something or someone to remind us back to the things we are supposed to do. For me, I owe it one to the old self-me for sticking that reminder note to get the present-me and her well distracted head back on the track.

Sorry I hate to cut this short. Dear all,

I am now on my 12th day here in Glasgow, Scotland. I am starting to miss the people back home. I can't help but wonder what's everyone been doing lately. Fortunately, I can still text and receive phone calls from them. I miss you all so much..

I know that I shouldn't think too much about the things I miss, otherwise I can't focus on the things I came for at the first place. That is, to learn.

Finally, I will move in to a permanent residence on next Monday. I'll be residing in a residence hall provided by the university. It was so hard to find any available private 2 bedrooms accommodations here in Glasgow since many students are coming in for the start of the new semester. We were lucky to find an advert in the University by two girls who happen to be wanting to move out of their hostel rooms so my friend and I got to replace them. The fees for each month is not that bad...348pounds per months including other utilities such as internet, gas, electricity, heater and water is an exemption here. While, as I were told by a friend, living in a private accommodation, you have quite a handful of things to settle and pay for yourself. Plus, you need to control on the gas, electricity and internet usage or otherwise, you will have quite an outstanding bills to pay at the end of the month! As for living in the University accommodation, I can use everything as much and as long as I want! Well, both options are not that bad, as long as I have a place to live in and quit the title given as 'a homeless being' :p

Now, I am more concerned about how I should spend my money. Since, the monthly allowance will not be out until next November, I gotta be extra careful not to overspend on foods and chocolates! The Twix chocolate here somehow taste different than the one back home. Its a lot crunchier, so addictive! This afternoon, I went online video call with my B and he saw me eating one of those Cadbury chocolate bar, and he just made his point about how I have been eating a lot since I got here. Well, I can't help it! Its a lot colder here, so perhaps that's why I continuously feeding myself hence to provide me with the energy to stay warm. Theoretically of course. However, my friend's French flatmate mentioned that its normal for people who move into a new place and environment to eat more. Anyway, it will be such a good news if I am to gain weight here! ;) But yea, that's one impossible mission you know, I walk a lot here...like A LOT. So, fats loss faster than gaining them.

By the way, I would like to thanks and give a big hug to my B for making me laughed today while on Skype (Yes, I made it through! Thanks GFF for the tips :p) My B started singing these emo songs! That was just hilarious! Okay, I know I'm bad for laughing at the fact that he really reallyyy misses me (I miss you too Cinta!), but my B wouldn't sing even if I asked him to unless its for a good cause...such as I can't sleep and need him to sing me a lullaby~ but this afternoon, he went on singing and singing, pouring his heart out and shouting out my name at the other end of the mic, "I MISS YOU NORIJAHHHHH" ROFL!!! He is too cute sometimes. Gosh, I miss him so much... :'( Before I left Brunei, I gave him a tiny box and inside that box was my letter to him. He said that, he reads the letter everyday since I left..I'm glad I gave him that letter.

I also pray to Allah SWT to give me strengths while I'm thousand miles away from home. I feel lonely, yeah... I miss my GFF and bestfriends. I miss having someone to fool around with, to have a honest heart-to-heart talk with and to simply just having someone whom I can 'click' with. GFF, trust me, no one can replace you as my bestest-friend in the whole wide world! :D

Other than that, my family is also missing me back home. It's touching that my Sis told me that Babah cried at home on the night of my departure...Mama texted me saying that she missed me so much that she slept with my towels that night and couldn't sleep for a few nights later. I cried. I know that I'm just gonna be away for a year or less, but its hard cause I never been away from them all for more than one week. Its hard for everybody back at home but we all can get through this! My prayers will always go for all of them.

I'm getting a new laptop tomorrow :) HP Mini 210 for the price of B$558. Alhamdulillah... 'Sakai tah ni memakai Windows 7, but no worries, I'm still a XP-ian by heart! haha'

Seriously I can't afford to buy any laptop all this time. Its even hard to save money, this laptop that I'm using at the moment has been with me since like 5 years ago. 'Dulu laptop gila mahalnya, this Acer Aspire 5584 even costs B$2000+ back then! If membali MacBook Pro bah tu...:))' I would like to thanks my Babah for lending me the money, I shall pay him back, a must! Plus, I'm also concerned about who's going to pay for my car while I'm gone. I owe it that much to my parents. Sometimes I just can't wait to work and have my own monthly salary, so that instead of them giving me money, its the other way around.

As I told my B, I said to him, all I'm asking from the Almighty is to be given the time for me to repay back my parents for bringing me up and giving them a good life when they're old. AMIN.. We all pray for the same thing, no doubt about it.

Be patient...;)

'Belajar tah puas2 dulu...' True to that! We have like the rest of our lives to work, why not take the time while we are still capable to kick back and enjoy doing assignments/thesis at the time being right? hehe. I am now 22 years old. I bet most people must have the certain ideal age in their minds of when to get married! Honestly? Mine would be 26 or 27 or 28 :p InsyaAllah. Well, that's the plan atleast. Who knows~

Kick To Fly

When I read back my previous posts, errr banyak lah grammar and English mistakes atu hehe. No way I'm gonna be majoring in English then :p Planning to take on Science as my major, its fun teaching Science. I like Science since I was in Primary 4 and continue on liking them ever since. However, I failed in my Pure Sciences (Chemistry and Biology) during A-Level! Hahaha distracted? YES. Aah, the experience of failing one of the vital exam in my life sure taught me a lot about the importance of hardwork and determination (eiseh!). We can't put our faith entirely on pure luck! /dignose That's like, gambling, and nothing ever come out good from it ;) Like what I did for my A-level, in the end I got Nil 'A' and sucky 'AS' grades. Hahaha

Talking about exam grades, how's my campus life? I am bumming at home since I was kicked out from UBD..tsk tsk. Anywat, these past couple of weeks, I became really close with my mom. You see...the usual me was not closed to her mom, that's because I'm rarely home! There would be times when I didn't see the rest of my family for three days in a row eventhough we are living under the same roof. The usual me would come home late everyday, either from campus or hanging out with boyfriend/bestfriends/friends in general, and treated her home like a 'hotel'. The 'hotel' word is like a metaphor that my dad used to describe this bad habit of mine - a home is just place for you to sleep, shower and eat your midnight snacks on bed. Hehe. Not a 'homey' person I may say.

/XD Heck, I'm not saying that I don't like the comfort of my own home. I'm just the "outdoor" type, 'Kan bejalan tah ganya krajanya' :p This recall to the conversation I had with my mom yesterday hehe. I was saying about how much I miss my high-school friends and how them -my parents- more than often, used to send me over to their places, and I had a few sleeping overs too (stubbornly wanted to!). My mom replied, "Awu. Dulu merayau ke rumah urang tah ganya kraja mu." Hahaha 'merayau' has the same meaning as 'melepak' or loitering isn't it? :p But yea..I do miss my old friends and hanging out at their cribs, good time, good time.. :) But then again, old habits die hard. Now, aku suka merayau di campus :)) Nevertheless, its for a good cause bahhh~

Back to now, I guess...knowing the fact that I'm leaving soon cause of being kicked out by UBD, I'm trying to catch up with the time spend with my familia~ more mother-and-daughter talk, more cooking in the kitchen, with the ladies, more watching DVD together with the kids yada yada yada~ you get the gist. And plus, I won't be here to celebrate Raya with my family, boyfriend and friends, that sadden me a bit. By next year, I will be home! Please wait for me to come home...and be safe always, AMIN!

Oya, I've been beating around the bush and intentionally left out the important detail (bagi suspen sikit) :p :

" I'm leaving in 9 more days for a full one academic year in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. Yep, I accepted the scholarship offer by UBD for 'A Year Study Abroad Programme' and there's no turning back now, InsyaAllah...My flight is scheduled to be on 10th Sept' but the actual time is not yet confirmed."

Muslims all around the world are going through fasting in Ramadhan for almost than two weeks now. I am happy to be able to celebrate Fasting month this year with all of my love ones once again, Alhamdulillah..I hope that everyones are making the best of this year's Ramadhan :)

Raya Aidilfitri is coming. Shopping premises have started playing Raya jingles, surrounding shoppers with Raya mood to shop till they drop! You can see a lot of discounts going around in boutiques, shops selling cartons of softdrink etc. In Facebook, lots of cake-seller tagging people to pictures displaying their yummylicious cakes with jaw-dropping prices. Facebook has become a quick way for small businesses to get recognitions and buyers, "Banyak urang bedagang di Pesbuk masa ani nyanta." I myself, would love the idea of having a small business, if only I have the money to invest AND a passion on some field which is marketable! The thing about me is I get bored easily so I tend to change my interest a lot! One minute, I like cooking, the next, drawing, the next thing you know, I'm out there making low-budget 'legal' movies with my handycam. The down-side of being me, haha :p

Last two weeks or so, I came across a status in my Facebook in which he stated that having a degree doesn't guarantee you a job. He has waited for months and still, no good news. Job hunting is never easy. Perhaps, there are just not enough jobs for everyone in Brunei hence started the whole idea of 'Jangan memilih perkerjaan' (which is true of course). I have heard about it since long ago that it is getting harder to get jobs that suit everyone's qualifications. A friend once told me, that a degree holder who was supposed (atleast expected so when he graduated) to get a job with a starting salary of 2K+, out of desperation accepted a job that gave him a salary below the degree standard. I don't know about other jobs, but for teachers with degrees, their expected salaries starter has 4-digits in it and with an initial digit '2'. However, I do hear about 'gaji guru pun makin kurang masa ani'.. And that retirement age is already extended to 60 years old? There are pros and cons to that. My guess is that Brunei's younger population is depleting, yes? no? Remember geography, the pyramid thingy hahaha ramble ramble ramble :p Anyway, goodluck and all the best to all of us!

Oya, remember Twixy the guinea pig? Now he has a girlfriend! Her name is PENNY! We bought her on 16th July for $35. She's HUGE for a 3 months old. /shock Fortunately, Twixy doesn't mind the size of his new girlfriend :p However, Penny does seem to be a bossy one! It is fun to watch them hehe.

First of all, I would like to thank you my GFF for the sweet post in her blog entitled 'My GFF'. I wish we had taken many pictures back then during our 'midgets' years :)) To remind me on how tiny and innocent-looking we were is that picture during Khatam Al-Quran. Uuuh, a bit reminiscing myself, I remember that we were put at the very back during the Khatam performance, invisible much? Haha. After Sekolah Ugama, we stayed in touch, I called you sometimes and we sang to Avril Lavigne's songs! Such deja vu...we sang to Avril's songs too when we were in KL! Remember when my mom and auntie went out of the hotel's room and we stayed behind, after they left we went hyper, jumping around on the beds? Singing out loud to Contagious or Hot by Avril. Good time, good time... =)) Ah yes, it has been about 10 years now and our friendship still stands, I'm so proud of us hehe. You have been a great bestfriend, my loyal listener and as if I had a younger sister to look after :) Your birthday is just around the corner and the next day, you are leaving for Beijing's educational 6 days trip. I hope you will have fun there and bring back stories to tell me :p Happy GFF Day! And yes, I sayang You too~

Just want to update my Blog readers about my recent semester's result which came out last Tuesday, June 22. Frankly, I was little bit disappointed with my result this time. For the semester before, I managed to get ONLY 1 grade B and the rest were As. This time, I got 2 Bs and 4As...Fortunately, my overall grade is still A! /please

All I want to do is to make my parents happy and be proud of me...Alhamdulillah, so far I'm doing the best I can and I hope insyaAllah I will achieve more in the future time.

To my B, you are my inspiration and my lucky-charm! You ease my tension and show your supports with open-heart...What more can I ask for from someone who loves me the way you do... /blush I am lucky.

So, my Saturday night with my B was great! =D> We went Misato and satisfied our craving, hoorahh! Man, the place was fully booked though, glad that we came early. B kept on saying that he ate more than me, suppose to be a sign of superiority? Anyhoo, it was my belly which bloated more than him! (So, does that mean I win?) It was not a pretty sight.../omg My belly looked like as if I'd swallowed a watermelon, creepy. Need to catchup on those sit-ups routine. I'm not fit anymoreeee, my muscles have turned jelly-like. If Godzilla was to attack Brunei, these feet would not even be dependable to run and saved my ass.

Back to Saturday night, we watched 'Furry Vengeance' and it was hilarious :)) I give it 8/10. I wonder what 'Lagenda Budak Setan' is all about, people seem to like that movie. My B is not a fan of malay movies so, hmm I guess I'll just have to buy the DVD later on to find out.

Till then, its 12:43 in the morning and I'm hungry.

Dear blogger,

Currently I'm alone in my room, doing nothing for the last three hours but stare at my laptop's screen. I have left the posting section opened but wrote nothing since Monday. It seems like I have lost the initiative to write anything here, basically about my life and what's happening in it. Hmm...and so I wonder, should I deactivate d-appleramble? It seems unnecessary to do so. Knowing me, I change my mind oh so very often. Some say 'indecisive', I say 'unpredictable' and Mama would say...'inda kuat iman'.

"The next BIG thing that happened was...ICE! Not vanilla ice, don't you go 'Ice ice baby' on me. ICE is an acronym for International Conference on Education, and this year UBD has held its 15th Annual ICE. It was a great experience for me, quite a mixture of feelings there, you name it...joy, sad, frustrated, anxious, ecstatic and blah blah blah. Most of the participants were either Guru Besar / Headmasters/ Headmistresses/ their Assistants from our own Bruneian schools or overseas participants (lecturers, PhD holders, educators). One phrase that I learnt from a senior Thailand/Vietnamese participant was 'Comfort Room'. The first time I heard of this name was when she approached me and asked "Where is the Comfort Room?" My first assumption was...wait for it...the MASSAGE ROOM?? Of course I didn't say it out loud, then she elaborated by saying "Where people urinate." And that's it, the A-HA! incident. So if you think that 'Washroom' is a preferable name for toilets, to make it sound more decent in public well...'Comfort room' makes toilets sound like 10-stars jacuzzi :)) " - 24th May until 26th May 2010

"A day of just you and me, no one else but us. A picnic at the beach. We had fried chickens, sausages, begedil (or 'badil' as B quoted), rice, 100Plus and a drinking water. The weather was nice. Met my Arts lecturers at Pantai Muara. Took lot of pictures. It was cool that my B was willing to pose much in front of the camera :p Usually he would 'jual mahal'. Then, we went to Pantai Serasa. There weren't any food stalls opened since its not on the weekend, so we just stopped by to take pictures together. The happy moment was soon followed by a more tragic moment... I lost a part of me, something that was so valuable to me, something that I always hold on to, no matter where I go, even going into the Comfort room, I never let go...sigh. I curse you, YOU whoever that took it from me, YOU selfish bastard, YOU very very very bad person! May Allah ease this wrath of mine...and murahkan rezeki ku untuk bali handphone baru~ /XD Nevertheless, I would remember the day as one of the sweetest memory in my life because my B has kept his promise and made the picnic fun. The last post was two weeks ago, honestly saying, two weeks is a long time and I'm getting rusty in blogging already. Obviously, in two weeks lot of things happened. Perhaps some of you even thought that I really was dead due to the ramification of last minute essay agenda. Well, I'm glad to inform you, I survived.

One week was given as a revision week to us UBDians. I don't know about others, but I just can't do those things like revise weeks before exam thing. My brain cells don't seem to work that way. Its really hard to push myself to read the notes knowing that I have more time left. Typical right? Oh my, that's just how I roll :p

Tomorrow I'll be facing my first exam paper, Management of Classroom Behaviour or MCB for short. I did cover all the topics and now left with the recalling and memorising. At the moment, I'm taking a break from trying to cover as much as I can on Culture of Thinking a.k.a COT. Now, that course is tough. What do you expect...for all I know its culture-of-thinking people.

I can't blog much, need to get back to revising (eyay~). So, I'm leaving you with these pictures:

I just got back home from spending the day with my B. For four days I didn't meet him, however, I felt like those four days passed by pretty quickly. Weird. Usually, when he's not around, the time feels like enemy. I know why...its because I have been so into my works that I'm not in touch with the reality anymore. In my mind "Work, work and more works". Mama complains that I shouldn't be back home so late every night, even after I explained it to her that I have to stay behind at campus because of works. I'm home late almost every night in this week, working with my groups, racing with time in finishing up our projects. Morning till evening, work work work! I'm exhausted...seriously I am.

Sometimes it makes me think, why are we doing this anyway? Working so hard I mean..."For a better future," yeah, that's what I would say..but who knew what will happen by then, as the phrase goes "We can only plan, nothing is for sure." So as far as I know, I'm just going with the flow, trying my best to achieve something...something in life, to be someone, just to make this life worth living in.

Honestly, I wouldn't find a more meaningful purpose in life if I never met B before. He teaches me that on the other side, the grass is greener and I am going there. He stops me when I start thinking of giving up. That's why, he is no ordinary man, he is special.

I Am The Happiest Girl In the World

I will start by saying that today has been the greatest and happiest day of my life! :D

I spent the whole day, literally from morning until nearly midnight with my B. Gosh! Its been so long since we got the chance to spend some quality time together kan B~ Its one of those most memorable day that I have of you and me...together. We treated the day as if there were no tomorrows, laughing non-stop, made a last minute decision of catching late night movie...we really had a great GREAT time! B has definitely put a smile on me face and its gonna last for a long time.

Oh by the way 'Date Night' movie is hilarious! I give it 8/10. =)) AND despite all the joys and fun I had today, I did not forget to do my assignments at the same time, its what we called MULTI-TASKING people! :p

On 6th April, last Tuesday was my 22nd Birthday
Alhamdulillah, I'm a year older, still breathing and living among my love ones :) Would like to say my gratitude to my PARENTS and FAMILY for still wanting to have me around for 22 years! :)) Love you all!!

Heart Attack

This is going to be a short post. Need to read on some notes for the test this Monday and sleep at approximately 1:30am cause I have to wake up at 6am later. "Hey...you are only gonna get like 4 hours of sleep," says someone who may be concerned about my sleeping schedule. Don't worry, I'm a living zombie remember and I'm also this kinda creature (I forgot the name) that sucks energies out of people :D so I LIVEEEEEEE!!

Yesterday (3rd April, Saturday) has been wild! Spontaneous things happened which spiced up my afternoon so much.

Okay, I went out to with my GFF (unplanned at first). Dropped by at IM for a while cause Nino needed to send something there, made a last minute plan to grab some Snow HOUSE ice-cream (I confidently stated to Nino "Snow WORLD"! Haha ke Genting tu eyh :p). We chit-chat, took pictures and such.

Then, suddenly I got a phone call from this 'friend of a friend' that I supposed to get my Kuih Tapak Kuda from, wanting me to get the cake from UBD ASAP cause it was melting. So, drove to UBD in a rush (still under speed limit~), got the cake, and back in highway ready to send Nino home when........I realised that my HD camera was not with me! or anywhere within the perimeter of my car /no

Recalled back to the time when Nino had put the camera back into its bag and placed it on the sofa. Perhaps because we were basically rushing, we totally forgot about it. LoL! Had to go back to Gadong in a rush (now I'm sorry to say, speed limit was out of the question) and I was like panic PaniC PANIC! Haha. You should have seen the way my GFF ran to the Snow House when I dropped her off the sidewalk while I turned the car around. She should have joined the Olympic, I strongly agree! :)) I let out a big PHEW when the camera is safe and still in one pieces, no missing parts. Hehe. ALHAMDULILLAH.

Feeling relieved, we were again, on our way home when the fuel sign started to drop really low! And to make situation more 'weird', I chose the longer way to get to a gas station! Adakah patut, Beribi ada minyak instead we used highway and had to drive all the way to Jerudong! but luck was on our side today, we made it! There was no need for Nino to push the car~ :p Haha too much panicking in one day man...exhausted much!

Exhausted punya pasal, we got hungry. Stopped by Jollibee to eat before ACTUALLY heading back home :)

Babah's 56th Birthday

After my B and I watched Clash of the Titans (5/10), we went to Qlap to buy a birthday cake. Sadly B couldn't join the celebration due to him also having a more formal family function to attend to last night.

Nevertheless, I hugged Babah on his birthday and we all as a family, listened to his birthday speech (with Kaka intruding now and then, jahat! Hahaha).

Other highlights event in my life lately...hmm..Oh ya, I had an interview last Wednesday 31st May. What interview? Nothing that I'm supposed to brag about because I myself is uncertain of its conformation. So yea...but I will tell my closest friends IF any of them had a chance to ask me :p

What I can say here is that, I DON'T LIKE INTERVIEWS as mush as I don't like those green stuff they called Vegetables! Its like, my palms went sweaty and all. Having to control myself and manners infront of the interviewers drained alot of my sanity away. I was THIS close to catch psychosis; an inch away from having myself unable to differentiate reality and fantasy of being in a smoky locked up room with scary investigators with thick mustaches and melon bellies due to donuts overdose. Gah! But that was just my wreck imagination speaking, in reality, the interviewers were really nice to me and didn't give me a hard time whatsoever :)

By the way, when I woke up this morning and on my way downstairs, I heard knocking on the window in Kaka's room. And so I wondered...I'm upstairs, meaning to say, what the heck is knocking the window on the first floor...

...my nephews told me about it last time. We have Hornbill birds knocking on our windows since few days ago! :D I saw one up close when I took a peek this morning at Kaka's room (with shaky legs :p). And again, just this afternoon, my neph told me that there were three Hornbill birds "hanging out" on the trees at our backyard. I tried to zoom-in my camera as much as I could just to take pictures of them, but this is the only best clear one I got (clicks on the image to enlarge).

Anyhoots, I just got back from watching a movie with my B :D

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR
DRAGON

It was THE awesome 3D movie ever!! Kalah Avatar :p Why why why? We laughed non-stop watching it, from the beginning till the end! I rate it 10/10! Uuuuh I so want a Night Fury dragon right now, so cuteeeee. Toothless is so freaking adorable!! B said, "Macam kucing~" Awu banar tu, hehe. And so I quote from the movie "We are Vikings, its an occupational hazard!" =)) It makes Spartans less cooler now. LoL

Next movies I'm anticipating to watch is 'Clash of the Titans', 'Ip Man 2' and 'Toy Story 3'. Oh I so can't wait to watch 'em especially Ip Man 2. There's no movies better than those that portray real life stories. Ip Man was Bruce Lee's master, the movie is about him, his journey of life. If you have watched the first movie, you would love to watch this second one :)

"Banyak masa mu meliat cerita aa Iz," a friend commented. Ah well, I can't all the time be facing the books and assignments, should I? :p Life is too short to be spending your time on one thing only. Like what I have said before, if only I had all the time in the world, I would love to do many things! My eyes are still on that rock climbing thingy and one day, if Allah SWT permits, I would love to be given the chance to travel the world (why limit only to Borneo Island) by joining the 4x4 wheels drive adventure! Hahaha.

Oh I skipped Tennis yesterday, huhu. I had a group discussion till half past 5pm, preparing for the next presentation next Monday - Culture of Thinking. I read this thesis done by Caroline Koh on 'Creativity and Madness'. It is a very interesting paper afterall. For the first time (or second? or third? heck haha), I'm fascinated by what I read. The thesis is a grounded theory type, based on literature reviews of others. It tells about the correlation between Creativity and Madness, is there really any? We always heard about 'Mad Scientist', 'mad geniuses' and so forth. I bet you have heard the story about Vincent Van Gogh who cut off his ear, Uuuu. So, do geniuses really suffer from mental illness? Nak tahu jawapannya? :p Come to our presentation next Monday at 8am, hehe.

So, LAST MONDAY I had my Forum in the afternoon. Partnered with Mr. J, we are the second group to present our speech and opinions on the topic 'Hak Penjagaan Warga Emas Terletak di Bahu Kerajaan'. All I can say is that, the first 5 minutes given by Pengerusi for each of us to introduce and elaborate the topic was okay. I managed to control my shakiness and kept my head clear so that I wouldn't sound like having disoriented speech whatsoever. My contents were well delivered and I even managed to inserted in some last minute counter-attack to mr.J's speech (you stole my idea J about the 10 anak thingy!! Hahaha) :p

HOWEVER, when the time came for Pengerusi (our lecturer, Dr. Y) to ask us with rather provocative questions, I stuttered and stumbled....uwaaaa. At that moment, when I looked at Pengerusi while he voiced out the question to me, all I saw was lips moving, no sounds! No words that I could make sense of! Everthing happened in slow motion. Then silence. Turned to face the audience (colleagues), they all were looking at me and my lips started to mumble STUPID answers! I heard a colleague talked "Lurus kan jawapannya atu?"

Arghhh tidaaaaaak! How I wished Legolas could just shoot me with his bow and arrow, atleast I would die in the hand of a hot elf, rather than die of embarassment =)) Then, Pengerusi repeated his question, sorta like giving me another chance to get my mind straight, but I couldn't. At last, I gave my last shot, I put forward some Islamic Hadith. "Bagus," replied Pengerusi. PHEW. Although not satisfying but again, PHEW! The rest of the forum went well :) Alhamdulillah...but but! I have to re-do my essay on the topic cause I didn't remember to acknowledge some sources, adui...ceh ceh ceh *pinch myself*

Right after the forum, I went straight home and...played with my camera then played FOOTIE with them kids! Weeee~ :D Taking random pictures is sorta like my third-class hobby. Remind you, I'm not a pro photographer. I'm doing it because, just because. Nowadays, seems like everyone want to be Pro photographers yo, wassup with that? Yea yea, trend. Today I have no class at all, so evidently, since there's nothing urgent to attend to, I woke up at noon. Yes, at NOON. I slept late bah last night, eh no, this morning to be precise :p Then, I took a nap again around 5pm and woke up at 7pm.

I think playing Tennis yesterday really drained away my energy.

Having muscles pain on me arms...due to practicing on the serving. Oya, I also got hit by the ball, sakit! :))

Back to the number of words that I seriously need to catch up on, roughly 2 hours left till midnight. Will I manage 1000words/hour? Back then when I was in Diploma, I used to do my essays last minute. It worked well for me though i.e. 500words/hour. Adrenaline pumping.

The due date for the essay is next Wednesday, so why am I rushing this? I have to! Its not an individual work, I need to send my part of the 2000words essay to my colleague for checking TOMORROW. And plus... I need to start organising my time man...I've been slacking alot lately, ALOT.

Oh to make my Week 10 in Campus more interesting, next Monday I'll be having a forum on 'Hak penjagaan warga Emas terletak di bahu Kerajaan'. Another practice of public speaking and my lecturer will be the pengerusi and shall be expecting questions from HIM and the AUDIENCE.

This morning I woke up early.

Okay, I've been busy...and sick too.

Its been nearly 2 months that my immune system being sucky. Friends keep telling me to visit the hospital but I refused and still am refusing to go. I just...simply choose not to :p

Soto Forecast

I had Soto for my second-round-lunch and dinner today =D Why I said 'second round' is because for my first round I had nasi katok, this second-round was rather unexpected.

Quite a story today, sadly I can't expose the details here cause its not only MY story to share. When it involves others, I know my limit and rights. What I can tell, I had a rough morning. B woke me up exactly at 6:45am as I requested and at the exact time, Mama knocked on my door asking for her handphone back :p I sorta like borrowed it, haha. Anyhoots, my earliest activities of the day include...rejecting B's miscalls for four times (as a sign that I'm awake dah), sleep-walking answering the door and handed out Mama's phone, back to bed, planned to just sit for awhile and the next thing I know, ZzzzzZzz.....

I cursed myself when I heard car's honk from outside the house. 8AM! Kaka literally was shocked to find that I was still in my PJ! Hahaha... I had to cut my getting-ready-ritual short. It didn't break the World Record but 12 minutes is 'something' don't you think? =D> So, that's the first highlight event of Iz's life on Saturday morning.

We went to Supreme Court at Bandar (Mahkahmah(sp?) not court - gelanggang :p). Let's just say, it was not really a thrilling experience but for sure its one of those that I will never forget. Quote: There's always a first time to everything. Well, I would like to make that trip the last one too. The trial started at 9am and ended roughly at 11am. Bought nasi katok on the way home. Already in my mind, image of my bed..aah heaven...

It was hell. Karan tutup! /omg

Took a short nap in the heat. Amazing that my flesh was still raw when I woke up. B texted me saying that he wanted to bring me for a lunch out. Tummy was still busy digesting the nasi katok but how could I fully resist when he mentioned "...bawa you makan SOTO di Tutong"!! :D So that's how I got my unexpected second-round-lunch :p Nafsu makan~ and also simply because I miss my boyfriend, despite the sleepiness and the ayung feeling I had :p Kana tapaukan satu lagi tu soto...for my dinner at home, said B *Awww how considerate* :D

It is always relieving after telling him my stories and feelings. B is like my portable and user-friendly Diary :D Can't leave home without it. Does that sound wrong to you? :p

Tomorrow I have another meeting for my Independent Study II course at UBD.

We are supposed to be preparing for our 50% Micro-teaching this coming April. I can handle the usual micro-teaching, you know, where you stand infront of the so-called-kids and teach a sub-topic BUT this! We have to think of ways on how to make use of BLOGSPOT as a learning resources. Oh well yes, we can do links, upload videos and pics for the kids to see and learn, but how to make the programs interesting for them to INTERACT or actively response back to the teachers, I almost pull my hairs off just thinking about it.

When it comes to presentations, I prefer doing things that people never see before. When I prepare my materials, I tend to imagine, what I have experienced in the past, like what others have done during their presentations that I found boring and too common that I would LOVE to change. So I implement those thoughts into my presentations. It helps to build my confidence.

I always want something creative! Its fun to be me, and difficult at the same time. Its a passion. I'm not a perfectionist as some would say :p A perfectionist wants perfection. I simply want things to be FUN and not BORING. Do you dig me? *like whuuuttt??* Okay now, I'm a narcissist. To think that anyone would be interested in who I am and what I think. But hey, its my blog, my train of thoughts :p

Gah! I need inspirations~ My team mates need inspirations~ Lots and lots of them *Dear God...*

Q: How can you make the teaching of Countable and Uncountable nouns interesting for kids?A: Let them count poops!! Regular and Irregular POOPS!

Anyway, I was tagged by a friend of mine in FB about this teaching trip to North and South Thailand for A MONTH during the June semester break. It sounds interesting and I am interested but the bayar sendiri part I'm not so sure of. $$$$$$

I wanna try rock climbing at Tasek Lama, to whom should I go to about this? Trainer or something. Brunei is fun, if you knew HOW. I wanna go hiking tomorrow and sweat some fats off. Coming B? :D
